| i opened it, so i tell my opinion at first ^^ we are here, so we must like the book, mustn't? i don't like it - i love it! i haven't expected to like the book this much! but it just happened, while reading i loved it more and more it was so interesting, i like all the strange ideas of the other planets! the flowers and so on... it was so completly crazy and you just have to believe it and i was so eager for the point of view, you get for the humans - i heard people say, after reading this book, you will think about things you do or others did twice but i didn't understand.... now i understand, and i think twice, and think What are we?! how can we do those thing to our friends, our family? how can we be so cruel in acts and in words?? it is fascinating for me, this book told me so many things! maybe it teach us to be better humans, more like the souls i really like the souls, they are not that bad and wrong... i like the world, they want to built! crazy but true so that was it for the first time ^^ | |

| Well I read the host on my Computer and printed alllll the pages, so it was a lot of ink =P then after 2 pages I was like... OMG is sooo slow, but then I didn't realized I had already finish the book in 4 days, not counting on the fact that I had to read it in english because it had not had come out in english yet soooo.... I cried, laughed, smiled and spent most of the time of the next month day-dreaming about it. | |

| @ Raquel - youre speakin out of my heart at first i didn't thought i would be able to love this book, but then i read and read~ a bit frightening, but i love meyers writing styl, it just captivates me, because you feel with the maincharacters ... but in the szene when kyle and wanderer were so close to fall down, i wasn't afraid, i just thought..."who will come? jeb or ian... please com fast!" i never thought something could happen with wanderer or mel in the middle of the book! but in the end!! i really thought ... "this is the end" i haven't known, that thereĀ“could be sequels, i never imagined and i thought.."goodbye, wanderer, we love you all" and now i ask myself how i could think st. meyer would be capable of killin wanderer... shes not an author like that... i think she loves the characters herself to much... i should have known her better @ Naybeth - i think i will look myself - i would really like to hear it... maybe by it on cd xD then i can hear if i want, without recordin anything and a hard job...maybe... and it will be bad quallity...but if you have a program to record without of other sounds... but i dunno, if you have and if not, where you find such programs | |

| Well, I have to admit, that I still like the Twilight saga a little better...but just a littler And I never imagined that The Host would be so good. I read it twice (once in english about a year ago and once in german when it got published) and it gets better everytime I think I never believed, that Wanda would die in the end but I kind of had a feeling that they would send her to another planet. But I'm really happy with the ending Stephenie Meyer chose. There's just one scene I kind of dislike: when Wanda is on her way to see Doc to free Mel and she meets Jared. She asking him to give her a lie and he is very willingly to fulfill her desire...I just felt so sorry for Mel! It felt a little to real... Well I hope he was just thankful | |

| i read the book in 1 and a half week i guess. but i could only read before i went to bed because during the day i had (and still have -.-) to read my psychology books. when i started reading i wasn't thaaaat into the book. it was just a little boring.. but than i realized that i need all this stuffi thought was boring to understand the rest of the book. to understand the other worlds and all these things. so i started to like it more and more. when wanda and mel went to search jared and jamie i totally began to love the book . you could really "see" how the friendship grew between mel and wanda. the same i think about the friendship between wanda and mel i think about the love between wanda and ian. ian is a hard man but he turns into a totally nice guy who just wants wanda to be happy. while reading the book you can see every state of this development. it's really impressive. than the love between mel and jared. jared is the man mel wants to be with forever and she'd do anything for him. she'd do anything just to protect him. it's a strong love between a strong woman and a strong man. the fit together perfectly. and than is there wanda.. wanda is not that strong. she's strong in another way. she's extremely sensitive. she needs someone who's really looking for her because she can't look for her by herself. she always do the things for the others. for the people she loves but she always forgets herself. no.. not forget.. she thinks that she's not that important i guess. and so she needs someone who really takes care about her. someone like ian. jared is too strong for her. not sensitive enough. but mel, mel would do everything for the ones she loves too but she's a human. she always looks after herself too. and jamie.. wanda thinks that jamie was the only one who really saw mel and wanda in the body of mel. but i don't think so. ian saw wanda in mel's body. i think that because of the ending. he doesn't care about the body wanda will be in. he gives the decision to jamie. jamie loves both, wanda and mel. wanda as a friend and mel as a sister and kind of a mother i'd say. he's sooo cute and i fell totally in love with him like wanda did (: i'd do anything for him too. you really need to love him. wanda feels the same way mel does about jamie. mh yes i really love the book (: it's great. it's kind of real. i could read it again and again. and i will but at the moment i gave the book to a friend of mine. i wanted her to read it ^^ | |

*i wonder what all the souls did with the cullens!* I know exactly what you mean x) Suddenly, it was all kind of... Edward who? Ian O'Shea, baby! I think The Host is far better than Twilight in many ways. It's more mature, and made me really stop to think about so many things I'd never thought of before. I hope she writes The Soul and The Seeker! | |
